Do you have a project idea that will help to improve the environment, or support your community to bounce back from the pandemic?
Through our Recycling Fund for Communities, you could receive a cash boost, in kind resources or staff volunteers to help bring your idea to life.
Veolia’s Recycling Fund for Communities supports grassroots projects that protect the environment and encourage people to do the right thing with their waste. This year we have expanded the funding criteria to include projects that help communities to bounce back from the pandemic.
Supporting the #BuildBackBetter agenda, launched by Veolia’s crowdfunding partner Spacehive, Veolia’s 2020 funding will now consider proposals that set-out to revive the vital community groups, services and spaces that have suffered in recent months. Projects that connect people and communities and encourage people to reduce their environmental footprint, are of particular interest.
Eligible projects could receive a cash boost of up to £2000, resources or staff volunteers. To be considered, your project must demonstrate one of the following:
- Its use of recycled, reused or reclaimed materials
- Its ability to protect and preserve resources
- Its enhancement of local environments
- How it will help the community group to bounce back from the pandemic.
Our standard pledge amount is a maximum of £2000.
There are two ways to apply
Projects requiring less than the maximum pledge amount can apply via our online form. Projects requiring £2000 or more will be required to apply via the Spacehive Crowdfunding platform, where they can pitch to other funds and build a community. Applications links are located on the top right hand side of this page.
Please note: Projects applying for more than £500 via the online form may be required to submit further information upon request or to apply via Spacehive. The information included in your application will be passed onto the fund's decision-making team and you will be contacted if successful. You may also receive updates about the fund from time to time.
